Possagno (TV) August 14, 2023– The handover of 5,600 euros took place in the sumptuous setting of the local Sagra di San Rocco, patron saint of Possagno, donated entirely to the association Giocaconilcuore odv, to close the circle on an exciting fifth edition of the Scopel Day, the last took place July 22 in the square of Fornace Coe.
Saturday 12 August was therefore the most exciting moment for Roberto Scopel, the initiator of the event, and his collaborators: reaping the fruits of many months of sweating.
“Our work has paid off with an excellent result.” – says Roberto Scopel – “But the most beautiful thing about this edition was not only that we managed to donate a much higher amount than in previous editions, but also that we received the help of many new people, especially many young people who they wanted.” to make their contribution to the success of the event. Thank you to all the partners who made this possible and to my team, fantastic people who understood the spirit of this event.”
“What a joy to see Scopel Day growing year after year both in terms of people and crops.” – Giorgio Silvestrin agrees with him (President of the association Giocaconilcuore OdV) – “Because I think that means Roberto’s message of combining his passion for engines with a will to help others came across loud and clear. The commitment of Roby, his brother Andrea, but actually all of Possagno, with the instructions and the many volunteers, touches our hearts and we can only meet our obligations. A special thanks goes to the guys from Pro Loco who gave us two hundred euros on Saturday, in addition to the already very high sum we collected. Another testament to how Roberto managed to instill a love for what he does and it’s something truly magical.”
The 2023 edition of the Scopel Day was also supported by the Municipality of Possagno, by the Pro Loco of Possagno, by the National Alpine Club and by Industrie Cotto Possagno, and the mayor of Possagno, Valerio Favero, could not miss the official presentation of the proceeds .
“A big thank you to Roberto” – adds Valerio Favero (Mayor of Possagno) – “But also to all the associations and volunteers who, under the guidance of the Maestro, have worked together in perfect synergy, creating an unforgettable edition of Scopel Day. The result was just as great because nowadays you could donate 5,600 euros to a The structure that aims to put a smile on the faces of many children suffering from oncological diseases is something really profound, really special. We are happy and honored to be at Roberto’s side since the first edition and we will continue to do so for as long as possible. See you in 2024.”
“A few days off” – closes Scopel – “And we get to work on the sixth.”
