Matteo Lovato is officially gone, Zima is being sold instead
Defense handover for the TurinHe takes over for Lovato, who replaces the outgoing Zima.
Inzaghi had already announced his departure on Monday evening, a day before he arrived in Turin for medical visits. The Italian central defender will reunite with Juric in Verona, with whom he has already worked and shown great performances.
On Juric: “I have been working with the coach since my first appearance in Serie A, it is a pleasure to work hard with him. I feel like I haven't finished the journey with him yet. Now I have the chance to take the steps I'm missing and I'm excited to share this adventure with him. I know the coach’s way of thinking and coaching and he knows me. We took a two and a half year break, but we have the opportunity to continue on this path.”
This is the press release with which Torino announced the purchase: “Torino Football Club is pleased to announce that it has acquired the right to sports performance from Unione Sportiva Salernitana 1919 on a temporary basis with the option of a permanent purchase has footballer Matteo Lovato”.
The player comes to Turin on loan with the right to buy and could be used as a replacement for the injured Buongiorno in Sunday's game.
Zima leaves, returns to Prague
However, Zima is out and will return to Slavia Prague after an uninspiring first part of the season with just five appearances.
“Torino Football Club announces that it has finally sold the right to the sporting achievements of footballer David Zima to Sportovní Klub Slavia Praha. Torino thanks David for the commitment, professionalism and seriousness that have always distinguished him in these years in the Granata and welcomes him warmly and wishes him good luck in the continuation of his career.”
