Shame! Chaos during live television.
The final farewell to “L’italiano vero” is reflected in the crowd that flocked to Toto Cutugno’s funeral. At the sight of the coffin there was great excitement among those present, which made it clear as they passed by that the news of his death was not the result of a bad dream, but of a sad and bitter reality. So much suffering of ordinary people combined with one of the symbols of the Italian spirit both in the world and in our country, a real Italian who sang his Italy with pride and of which he was proud. A true Italian who wrote the history of Italian music and who, in his last farewell, certainly enjoyed seeing the people who followed him, who were linked to his songs and who loved him and whom he now from above with conviction reviews that his pride of belonging is also transferred to the otherworldly world.
But what was the shame? Quite simply, since only a few of his colleagues were present, such as: Lavezzi, Morandi, Spagna, Leali, Pupo and Vessicchio. A strong union, a symbolism that is shown on the small screen and leaves a mark because there were no other colleagues, there were no young people and there were not even political representatives honoring the memory of a man who raised the name our country.
Toto was certainly aware of the sincere affection that he will carry into the next life and with which we too remember a great person, a great man, a true Italian!
