It is one of the most prestigious events of the season, not only for the Triveneto region, and Rally Sport Evolution could not be missing from such a prestigious stage, fielding three drivers at the start of the upcoming Rally Città di Bassano.
The Mundialito Triveneto, scheduled for October 13th and 14th, will have the honor and burden of rejecting the Italian Asphalt Rally Championship and the ACI Sport Rally Cup of the third zone.
The colors of the Ranica racing team will be defended by an interesting trident, which will be opened by Emanuele Danesi, who will break a long break together with Andrea Sarti.
A Peugeot 208 Rally4 is waiting for him in the province of Vicenza.
“Let’s take the steering back a little” – says Danesi – “because we’ve been standing still since the end of July. Bassano will be a points race for us, outside of the program we are following. We have never raced here before, but we are sure that Claudio Albini’s experience will help us find the best setup for these streets. The goal is to fight for class success and stay in training until the end of the season. Thank you to all our partners.”
Close behind him, at least on the starting list, is Marco Pellizzaro, who is ready to share the cockpit of a second Peugeot 208 Rally4 from Bergamo with Marco Melotti.
“Bassano is one of those events that I try to attend every year,” says Pellizzaro, “because in my opinion this race remains a reference, both in terms of the organization and the technical level of the route.” The special stages will be like always be a challenge. We return to Grappa with two strenuous tests that I really appreciate and that suit my riding style. Rubbio is always hard at night while Valstagna needs no introduction. It will be my first time doing this race with the turbo, it will probably be my sixth time if I remember correctly. We will compete against the protagonists of CIRA and CRZ in this area, so it will be difficult to conquer the top positions. We will give it a try.”
The trio is rounded off with a touch of internationality by the Turk Eytan Halfon, accompanied by Faith Burak Akcay in the Lombard racing team’s third Peugeot 208 Rally4
Things get serious on the evening of Friday, October 13th, when only the “Rubbio” (7.23 km) is on the program, which could prove to be more selective in night running than one might imagine.
The actual race takes place the following day, Saturday October 14th, where competitors must complete four special stages, all repeated for two laps.
The stage begins with “Campo Croce” (11.24 km), then continues to “Monte Grappa” (12.04 km), the legendary “Valstagna” (11.84 km) and the repeat of “Rubbio”.
“The Bassano is one of the most popular rallies in Italy” – says Claudio Albini (owner of Rally Sport Evolution) – “and as proof of this there is a starting base of almost two hundred registered people.”
