THE STATEMENTS
Marco Ramondino, Trainer Bertram Yachts Derthona Tortona: “Trento is an extremely solid side with players who have multiple responsibilities and can create advantages. Dolomiti Energia boasts one of the best defenses in the championship, ranks third in efficiency in points conceded per ball possession and has consistently performed throughout the championship, finishing sixth in both the first and second rounds. Our focus is to be as prepared for the game as possible: as a team and staff we need to be flexible and read the game to understand what adjustments we need to make for the second game beyond the outcome of the first game. “
Emanuele Molin, Coach Dolomiti Energia Trentino: “We’re proud and happy to be here to present these games, but above all our return to the playoffs after a year’s absence: it’s a great result, but we’re still not satisfied. We want to prove ourselves in front of a great opponent, we still have something to say. At this point we are obviously playing against the best teams and Tortona is a formation that has shown continuity over these two years and built something important: their strength is precisely their cohesion and the great awareness they have of their resources. In previous seasons we could get them into trouble, but in the end they always had the upper hand: a symptom of being a compact formation that bases its basketball on particularly effective team play in attack and defense. Congratulations and utmost respect to coach Marco Ramondino, who has been named Serie A Coach of the Year. The team is doing well, we’re carrying the burden of a long season, but we’ve grown in all aspects, including technical and statistical points of view. Now we’re ready to give it our all, why not dream and try game after game.”
