The Città di Bassano Rally is one of the most anticipated events of the entire season and on this occasion too the Mundialito Triveneto is ready to take to the stage.
On a stage of undisputed prestige, reinforced by the title of the Italian Asphalt Rally Championship, the Xmotors team could not be missed and, working closely with La Superba, will field a favorite candidate for success.
We are talking about Alex D’Agostini who, together with Michele Coletti, will return to the wheel of his Peugeot 106 Rally Group A driven by Alessandro Baron to aim for success in the A6 class.
“The last time I drove in Bassano was in 2018,” says D’Agostini, “so I haven’t been on these roads for a while. Mirko and I are excited and want to do well. We will be the only ones competing for the Xmotors team, an added pressure but one that pushes us to do our best. It will be nice to compete in a context as prestigious as that of CIRA. I would especially like to thank Alessandro Baron because he is working hard to bring our 106 back to the maximum level of competitiveness. We can’t wait to try it out.”
One thousand six from Group A, traditionally preparing to put on a show in Bassano, while ten other opponents are ready to challenge the Pedavena rider for the lead.
“Our intention is to always aim for victory,” adds D’Agostini, “but we will face very fast opponents. May the best win, hoping that it is us.”
The Città di Bassano Designer 2024, which is also considered the conclusion of the ACI Sport Rally Cup in the third zone, will be held over two days of competition, starting with the day on Friday, October 13, when only the “Rubbio” special will be offered (7.23km).
The second, Saturday October 14th, is divided into eight periods, four of which are repeated for two passages, starting from “Campo Croce” (11.24 km) and continuing with “Monte Grappa” (12.04 km) with the iconic “Valstagna” (11.84 km) and with that of “Rubbio”, already seen on Friday.
“From the last time I raced here I only remember Valstagna,” concludes D’Agostini, “so we can’t say we have the most advantage at the start. The route is characterized by very tough special stages that, when they get dirty, become as beautiful as they are treacherous. We are ready for this challenge and hope that it will bring us great satisfaction. We expect a close fight and have to apply as much pressure as possible without making mistakes. Our thanks go to all partners who make it possible for us to be at the start in Bassano. Many thanks also to the Xmotors team and La Superba, represented by their respective presidents Francesco Stefan and Paolo Benvenuti. We are excited and eager to achieve good results in Bassano.”
