The big names in snowboarding and freestyle skiing meet on the slopes of Moena, ready to conquer the audience with breathtaking performances. From March 2nd to 5th, some of the best athletes of the Italian and international scene will compete with adrenaline-pumping jumps and highly spectacular acrobatic tricks in the Destroy Contest, the main event of the Radio 105 XMasters Winter Edition.
The coolest winter event for winter sports enthusiasts is about to start. The appointment is at the Village, in the heart of the San Pellegrino ski area, for four days of action sports, but also entertainment and lots of good music from Radio 105, partner of the event this year.
Some of the most famous top riders, even from the USA and Australia, are expected to attend the spectacular race in the snow, which ends with the finale on Saturday, March 4th. Among them the American Dylan Alito, snowboard legend and the Australians Robbie Green and Martin Longhitano, undisputed talents of the table and internationally known skiers. Italian athletes will also be in the spotlight: from former Italian freestyle skiing champion Simone Canal to Davide Boggio, the spearhead of Italian snowboarding. The female presence will also be exceptional, with snowboard champions Veroniqi Hanssen, Silvia Mittermüller and Maria Biserni among others.
Guest star Silvia Bertagna, standard bearer of Italian freestyle acrobatics, with a long and successful career behind her. The champion, who recently retired from competitive sport, will be part of the competition’s jury, made up of some of the best experts in these exciting and spectacular disciplines. Sitting next to Silvia is Arianna Cau, the former Blue winner of numerous international awards. A jackpot of 3,000 euros awaits the winners, who compete in the “shaped” snow park for this occasion.
A great party that can also count on the presence of Jeep, historical sponsor of Xmasters, at this edition. The automaker will be at the forefront with the iconic Wranglers, celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, and the Gladiator pick-up truck, allowing the public to try out the models with an official driver at the wheel. The test drive can be carried out from March 3rd to 5th.
The 2023 edition promises to be very rich in activities: in addition to the Destroy Contest, the heart of the event, there will also be workshops, activities such as ski biking, snowboarding, balance boarding and yoga in the snow. And of course DJ sets and Radio 105 music shows that will liven up the event on Saturday March 4th with an après-ski and evening party in Moena’s main square.
The Adventure Snow Camp is also back for winter sports enthusiasts. An unmissable opportunity to ski and practice with industry professionals, attend live shows and come face to face with 105’s VIPs and guests.Participants can choose between Adventure One for intermediate level activities and Adventure Two for advanced training choose.
Space then also for content creators. The Creative Academy, a community founded by Nick Pescetto, will be based in the Village, where photo and video enthusiasts will compete against each other during the 105XMasters one-click course, immortalizing the amazing freestyle performances.
Finally, on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th March, Burton, a leader in the snowboard industry, will be present at the Village to give the opportunity to test all the products for the next winter season.
The event is organized by Skills Comunicazione in collaboration with Visit Moena, the Moena Events Committee, the Hoteliers’ Association of Moena and Passo San Pellegrino, the Moena Merchants and Shopkeepers’ Association, Trentino Marketing, the Municipality of Moena, Val di Fassa and the Ski Area Lusia San Pellegrino.
