Drinking water alarm in Italy, frightening discovery.
Alarming news from L’Ineditore reveals that 35% of the total drinking water samples examined in Lombardy were found to be contaminated with Pfas, a substance linked to numerous pathologies, including some types of cancer.
The samples collected date between May 12th and 18th and in most cases come from public fountains, schools and children’s playgrounds.
After the unexpected result was announced, Greenpeace announced that it had filed six complaints with the prosecutor’s office to identify the sources of pollution, stop the pollution and take measures to protect the population.
Updates in progress.
