A Rally del Taro that caused incredible joy and that took place between last Saturday and Sunday and in which Collecchio Corse presented itself for two days as the protagonist in the noble districts of the general and numerous categories.
Starting from the International Rally Cup, of which the second round was the Parma event, the Felino team fielded a Marcello Razzini in superb form who was able to win two special stages and keep the pressure on reigning champion Avbelj.
The driver from Parma finished second overall in the RC2N group and in the R5 Rally2 class together with Gianmaria Marcomini in a Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo of the By Bianchi Rally Team and lost valuable points in the run-up to the IRC title, the Ab the next Casentino it will be exciting.
“We had a good start right from the start” – says Razzini – “and we were always very close to Avbelj, the then winner and reigning champion of the IRC. We never let go of second place, even won two special stages and were supported by a perfect car. Thanks to the team, worked great. From today’s perspective we should be third in the championship, so we will be even more aggressive in the next Casentino. Thanks to the partners and the team.”
Strong emotions also for Martina Musiari, sitting in the right seat of the Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo registered by the Erreffe Rally Team and driven in the race by Antonio Rusce, in her first participation on her home roads, which brought her a good eighth place overall, both in the RC2N as well as in the RC2N R5 – Rallye2.
At the foot of the podium, in the Rally4 – R2 class, for a Fabio Oppici who, together with Alessandro Forni on an Autotecnica2 Peugeot 208 R2, had difficulties at the start and was unable to find the right setup to then make it to the finish to improve and restart challenge in Rally4 / R2 Trophy.
Only eleventh, with the smile of those who took the right path: Milko Pini and his Renault Clio Rally5, made available by Rally Sport Evolution and shared with Angelo Mirollo.
For him it was satisfaction to have significantly reduced the gap per kilometer to the leader, confirming progress that will soon enable him to fight at the top.
Great return for Edoardo De Antoni, on the notes Federica Mauri on a Renault Clio Rally5 by Vsport, protagonist of a very tight taro, up to the last meter of the special.
From the outset, the Felinese Federation flag-bearer led the class among nineteen starters on the posh floors when just two timed sections were missing from roll call.
Honor for the winner and a runner-up in the Rally5 class hailed with glee after months of hiatus.
The home team also secured the most prestigious laurels of the national event at the end of the main event with Fausto Castagnoli finishing second step of the overall podium together with Enrico Bracchi in a Pool Racing Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo, also in the RC2N group and in the R5 – Rally2 class, a blink of an eye, 1.2 seconds late to victory.
“Overall, the race went well,” says Castagnoli, “but I fell asleep at the restart in Montevacà. We used up all the advantage we had over Veronesi and tried to regain it in the next two races, but it wasn’t enough. We won four out of six specials. Thanks to the navigator and the team, always impeccable. Many thanks to the Collecchio Corse team and to all the partners who have made our presence possible.”
A national taro enjoying a poker for podiums continued with a Paolo Folli who tied with Adriano Giannini in an LM Motorsport Renault Clio Williams Group A finished second in the A7 class and despite a problem with his debut in the Rally The Frenchwoman was satisfied with the intercom at first, then solved it, which did not spoil his debut.
Excellent performance for Gabriele Frazzani, on his right Diego Altomonte in a Group N Renault Clio RS, author of a perfect race that brought him victory in the N3 class, in the RC5 group and a thirteenth place overall, which also made him compared with which highlighted CRI.
Dulcis took the Fundo A6 class win, also for Massimo Minardi, paired with newcomer Cristina Mori in a Group A Citroen C2, who was ultimately penalized by a technical issue that threatened to spoil a memorable weekend.
