Another weekend to roll up your sleeves is expected for Rally Sport Evolution, with three away games and eleven cars in the field.
From Sardinia everything is ready for the Asinara Gulf Rally scheduled for May 13th and 14th. Four drivers will start the ACI Sport Rally Cup in zone nine.
Three Peugeot 208 Rally4 made available by the Ranica-based racing team, starting with the example entrusted to Alessandro Ghisu, through the notes of Nicola Demonti, to two other examples dedicated to Stefano Cani, Davide Spanu at his side and Giovanni Martinez, stand by. together with Marco Demontis, while Giampaolo Moreno Fosci together with Salvatore Atzeni at the start with a Renault Clio Rally5 will ensure the end of the Sardinian poker.
“Traditionally, the ninth zone of the CRZ will have a very limited calendar” – says Claudio Albini (owner of Rally Sport Evolution) – “therefore the first appointment, that with the Gulf of Asinara, could already prove crucial.” So we will as always try to make all our experience available to our flag bearers.”
The same days, but a change of front, embarking on the Italian boot, for the sextet that will take part in the fifteenth edition of the Rally della Valle Intelvi, an appointment valid for the Lakes Rally Trophy with which the Bergamo team one The participation of Nikolaos Traskiris with Nikos Intzoglou in a Peugeot 208 Rally4 will add an international touch.
There’s ample room in the Como area for the aspirated front-wheel drives of the Transalpine house. Three Peugeot 208 R2 are waiting to be greeted by their drivers, first and foremost a Cristian Giumelli who will team up with Luciano Piazza Probe, next with Davide Chiappa, on the notes Miriam Marchetti and finally with Manuel Ponchiardi, with Roberta Franzoni.
Mattia Ciapessoni with Lorenzo Bertagnon in a Group N Renault Clio RS and Marco Melino with Michele Sandrin in a Renault Clio Rally5 will also take part in the match.
“Valle Intelvi is a race that is particularly felt in our area” – adds Albini – “and in this case too we want to do very well.” We will have five crews in addition to the four in Sardinia, so it will be a lot of sweat, but we are ready for this challenge.”
Also, between next Saturday and Sunday, twenty years after the last edition, a classic of uphill speed, the Cronoscalata Levico – Vetriolo – Panarotta, will be revived.
The revived Trentino event, valid for the Italian Mountain Speed Trophy in the northern area, will see Gianluca Ruaben on the starting line, making his debut on the Lombard Peugeot 208 Rally4.
