Giorgos and Panagiotis Angelopoulos, the brothers who own Olympiacos, will only start thinking about next season and the market after the Greek title celebrations.
However, the duo have already told fans that the goals will not change and that confirmation of three of the group’s main athletes is a priority, on the advice of coach Bartzokas.
“We’ve come through two consecutive Final Fours, one lost in the sprint semi-final, the other in the final… In Greece we’ve won five trophies in 16 months, the same number as in the 16 years before… It’s a great moment, and After the title party, we will keep working to stay at the forefront of European basketball.”
“What do we do with Vezenkov – courted by the Sacramento Kings – and Sloukas? We want them to stay with us and we are ready for anything… The same goes for Papanikolau, he too is dying out and is one of the leaders of the group.”
