LHermaea Olbia works in the name of continuity. After confirmation of the first trainer Dino Guadalupi and the deputy (and athletic trainer) Stephen Cinelli, The club are also delighted to announce the extension of the contract with the scoutman Antonio D’Ambrosiowho will join the Eagles’ technical team as a scout for the fifth straight season (sixth overall).
Originally from Altamura (Bari), born in 1990, D’Ambrosio collected his first level experience in 2013 in the Sala Consilina, as an employee of coach Guadalupi. His journey also took him to Palmi, still on the A2, Targoviste (Romania) and Urbino. The first break in Olbia in the 2017-18 championship within the team led by Pasqualino Giangrossi, then – after an experience in Finland at HPK – the return to the island for three years, marked by two entries in the pool promotion, one easy rescue, a playoff qualification and two Italian Cup landings.
Over the years, D’Ambrosio has been able to gain the trust of the whole environment and in fact has become an invaluable reference point for reality Hermaea. The biancoblù scoutman is currently involved in the Lega Volley Summer Tour as the coach of Millenium Brescia.
“I couldn’t miss such a significant season for Hermaea with the goal of playing 10 years in Serie A2 – explains D’Ambrosio – My sense of belonging to this reality is well known, as is my strong feeling towards all parts of this reality, from managers to the rest of the workforce, with whom I share a relationship of great respect and trust.” On the team: “We try to have a mix of experienced players and other young players, maybe even newcomers to the category but who have the technical and character requirements to perform well at this level.” The main objective will be regularity of performance and results, with the “highs and Lows” of the past year should be avoided as far as possible. Goals? Of course we would like to get into the promotion pool for the third time in a row, but given the many uncertainties between the formula and the composition of the group, we cannot yet make any predictions. It will not be easy to repeat ourselves because the ‘middle class’ of the championship is strengthened, but we will do everything we can to remain competitive and play to the end.”.
