In the west, the last two teams participating in the main draw and the seeded 3 participants in the play-in have yet to be decided. Many different scenarios, here we illustrate some of them, for the rest we refer you to the table at the end of the article.
Clippers favorites for 5th place, especially if the Suns stay true to their intention of resting several big names in today’s challenge.
The same applies to the Warriors, who are guaranteed at least 6th place with a win over the Trail Blazers (5th if they lose to the Clippers).
The Lakers need a win over the Jazz and a loss to Golden State in Portland to move up to 6th place and avoid the play-in.
New Orleans currently 8th will have to beat the Timberwolves and wait for the other results, there is also a scenario (4-man draw 43 wins) where they would end up in 5th place.
Finally, Minnesota, which can rise from 9th to 7th in the event of a win over the Pelicans and a loss to the Lakers.
Updated Western Conference playoffs and play-in scenarios through today’s games.
