Tenth day of the Serie B Championship Gas sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza marks the pace in the Palestra Salvadè against V. Veneto Benacus Verona: 0-3 (14-25, 19-25, 20-25) in just over an hour of play.
After a first set in which the red and white team asserted itself against the Veronese team in the first exchanges and then gave way to the more experienced and more highly rated opponents, the young red and white team managed a… good recovery in the second half of the game, also thanks to a good round against Rocca’s serve (14 points for him at the end of the game), but as soon as the Venetians felt the breath on their backs, they accelerated and finished with ease.
In the third set, in which Verona immediately started strongly, Piacenza once again grabbed several points from his opponents, who then closed after three canceled match points.
The red and white club, which belongs to Group D and consists of athletes born between 2005 and 2008, is fighting for the Serie B championship – a great opportunity for the entire group to develop.
Renato Barbon (Coach of Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza): “Three attacks from Magalini immediately intimidated us and we were a little impressed throughout the game. If we then add that we make mistakes even when we shouldn’t make mistakes, we understand that everything becomes more difficult.”
