It is well known that Ricchi e Poveri is one of the most successful groups abroad, as is the trend of turning many classics of the Italian discography into dance hits. Certainly the DJ who animates the court changes at the ATP 500 in Vienna does not know the Italian language, considering what happened last night in the match between Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Sonego.
As we report from the SuperTennis video, during a change of courts, a version of “Sarà questo di amo” by Ricchi e Poveri was broadcast at high volume, but… with changed lyrics in the chorus. “…and anyone who doesn’t jump is a Juventus bell ringer.”

The tennis players focused on the match clearly paid no attention to the matter, but the fact did not go unnoticed by many Italian fans who reported the matter on social media. It’s better to take it ironically, but next time the DJ should choose the original version…
