Dinamo Sassari was racing against time to complete the signing of Alfonzo McKinnie, the winger with NBA experience, in time for Sunday’s league debut game against Napoli.
With the visa cleared and the first training session behind him, the club is optimistic that they will be able to use McKinnie despite jet lag and getting used to the new team.
McKinnie’s need is compounded by the numerous absences from the squad. Tyree, the guard, is out with a strain, while forward Bendzius is out long-term.
The availability of Charalampoulos and Raspino is also uncertain, making McKinnie’s presence even more important for coach Bucchi.
La Nuova reports it.
