Less than a week after resuming home business Kitchen Lube Civitanovathe red and white technician Gianlorenzo Blengini faces a first question and answer given the official meeting scheduled for Monday 21st August in the Eurosuole Forum. For most of the preparation, the team will not be complete, but the staff will be able to count on the presence of young people from the academy.
Blengini: “Especially in the preseason it’s a nice advantage to have young talents in the group who are young but fit because they’ve been working most of the summer. It must be said that the level of the SuperLega, both in terms of mentality and the way of working, is not easy even for aspiring players with established qualities. Consequently, the advantage is not only with the first team, but also with the very talented boys of the academy, who can start raising the bar and realizing what the ultimate goal will be. The transition to “adult volleyball” is not only technical and physical, but also character and behavioral. So an excellent opportunity for them and a useful resource for us who don’t have internationals available“.
During this time I keep my fingers crossed for Simone Anzani. What have you said to each other in the last few days?
“To be honest, I’ve talked to Simone a lot since the beginning of his ordeal, or rather since the first stop episode. I immediately wanted to let him feel my closeness and my support. Of course I want to be kept up to date on his condition and I have direct contact with the national team staff. The situation must be approached with great caution, I am convinced that the association between the club and the federal staff will do the maximum for our athlete. Simone is very goal oriented, even if the final reaction does not depend on willpower. I think it’s right to think about the story, focusing on the personal and human point of view. Simone’s health comes before the team and the volleyball played. I’m optimistic and we’ve seen some clinical relief in the past few days, but we’re awaiting the final test scheduled in Rome, hoping to see him back on the field with Italy and the US soon lubricant“.
The pre-season calendar offers challenges with rivals from A2 and SuperLega.
“We have yet to know exactly how many athletes will be absent during most of the preparation. With a small squad in September and October, it’s best to do targeted testing with other teams at the end of the workweek for effective training. I think it’s a good opportunity to show off. I’m talking about the newcomers starting to chew through the environment lubricant, and who is not the owner on the map. It will be important for the boys to understand early on what our jersey stands for and to grow up quickly because all the players in the group will be needed throughout the year. They are needed and the boys all need to be signed up to be ready“.
