After a fourth set that ended 28-30, a tie-break was close and there was great character on the court! In the final game of the first round of the B1 Series Championship Igor Agile Volleyball loses 1-3 (20-25; 18-25; 25-17; 28-30) against Centemero Concorezzothe leaders of Group A. After two uphill sets, Barbara Medici's athletes reacted decisively in the third set and fought in the fourth, eliminating further match points.
News – In the first set, Centemero immediately tries to escape and Medici calls his team back when the scoreboard shows 3-9; Two points from Guatteo get the group going (12-16), but the visitors get another break and at 14-21 it's another break for the Igorine. Final 20-25 with an ace from the guests. In the second set, the Igorines had an immediate advantage (1-6) and Centemero opened the gap (12-18). Medici calls the team back with 13:20 and the final is still away (18:25).
The 3-0 in the third set gives Igor great energy and when Del Freo scores an ace to make it 7-3, it's a break for the guests. The Igorines extend their lead, with the block working very well at 14-8, it's still a guest break. The wall is felt at 20-13 and the final is 25-17.
The beginning of the fourth set is for Concorezzo (1-3), the Igorines are patient, they stay at a distance until 17-22 and then they start the comeback: from 19-24 they are very good at neutralizing five match points, and that's it 24 all. It is always Concorezzo who shoots the arrow, but the Igorines are stubborn and strike out all until 28, then it is Centemero who wins the challenge: 28-30.
