The open tournament for the pre-qualifications for the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, to be held in May 2024 at the Foro Italico in Rome, will take place from November 20th to December 3rd at the Circolo Tennis Maglie.
Numerous members from all over Italy take part in the men’s and women’s tournament, both singles and doubles, and the quality of the members is currently very high. In the women’s category, former Magliese Giorgia Pinto (2.1), Matilde Mariani (2.1), Anastasya Grymalska (2.1) and the young hopeful from Apulia Vittoria Paganetti (2.3) are registered. There are five 2.1 players registered in the men’s draw: Andrea Picchione, Antonio Massara, Juan Ignacio Iliev, Manuel Massa and Omar Brigida, as well as several 2.2 players including CT Maglie member Silvio Mencaglia.
The event generates great competitive interest while promoting sports tourism. This creates a movement that allows numerous guests to appreciate the beauty of the Salento region, with notable economic benefits, especially in the hospitality sector, and an important return on image.
The Maglie Tennis Club has been actively involved in organizing the event for several weeks, with the aim of guaranteeing guests a proper welcome and making their stay in Maglie as pleasant as possible.
