Jannik Sinner returns to the field in Beijing. The Italian number one is looking for the crucial points to qualify for the final in Turin and cap off a year of success in style. A month after the round of 16 match against Zverev in New York, after the controversy surrounding his absence from the Davis Cup, the Italian is returning to his favorite surface: the fast hall. Sinner’s opponent in the first round will be Daniel Evans, who has never met on the circuit and is capable of winning an ATP 500 title as early as 2023 in Washington. Experts see an easy win for Sinner, who is offered at 1.21 against the British between 4.20 and 4.50. In set betting, the most frequently quoted result is the Italian’s 2-0 with odds of 1.60, followed by 2-1 with odds of 3.65. A 2-0 win for Evans pays eight times the stake. Also on the square in Beijing Lorenzo Musetti, took part in the challenge against Karen Khachanov, the recent winner of the Zuhai tournament.
At altitude the challenge becomes more complicated for the Carrarino, which is offered with 2.19 against his opponent’s 1.63. The set bet pays 2.55 for Khachanov to win 2-0, while the Italian’s 2-0 win pays 3.70 times the stake.
